Hello there,
My name is Lissy Markmiller. I am an Illustrator, based in Bavaria, Germany.
I graduated with honours in Communication-Design from the Universitiy Of Applied Sciences Munich, Germany in 2001. Since then, I have been gravitating towards quirky, often enigmatic illustrations that let the viewers have a glimpse into hidden worlds - just below the surface of our everyday life.
In the field of children's books my goal is to touch kids and grown-ups on a deep level and encourage them to discover the enchanting and unexpected. Nothing is impossible and everything is full of wonder.
My book illustrations are done in mixed media (coloured pencils, watercolour, crayons) on hot pressed watercolour paper with digital finishing touches in Adobe Photoshop.
My vector illustrations in the field of web and app design help to humanize technical interfaces and make complex ideas. accessible.
I have worked in e-learning, TV channels, advertising,
web and app design and in the public sector/education.
